We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Welder to join our team at PT Coates Indonesia. We are working on significant projects in the mining industry and need an individual who is an expert in the art of welding to ensure all our work is robust and precise.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for complying workplace safety requirement even with minimum supervision (PPE, safe working behaviour, etc.).
• Responsible for preparing all safety pre-requirement for job are available and correct, such as
• JSA, JSA communication, work permit, etc. Read and interpret blueprints, working drawing, and technical documents to understand project requirements
• Prepare materials by cutting, grinding, grinding, and and cleanin cleaning metal surfaces before welding. Set up, operate, and maintain various welding equipment, including MIG, TIG, and arc welders. Perform welding and fabrication tasks in different positions to construct and repair metal components and structures.
• Inspect and test welds for quality, accuracy, and defects to ensure they meet industry standards.
• Order welding materials correctly and efficiently estimate and manage material usage to control project costs.
• Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to meet project deadlines.

YOUR SKILLS & EXPERTISE

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a welding certification program or apprenticeship.
• Proficiency in various welding techniques (e.g., MIG, TIG, arc)
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
• Strong attention to detail and a steady hand.
• Good manual dexterity and hand-eve coordination. e
• Physical stamina and the ability to work in various positions and environments, including lifting heavy materials.
• Knowledge of safety standards and practices.
• Domicile in Balikpapan.
